Pop legend Prince will be honored for his contribution to music during an annual concert at Carnegie Hall in March, which aims to raise money for music education. The Roots, Talib Kweli, the Blind Boys of Alabama, and others has been tapped to pay homage to the Purple man.
Set for March 7th, the annual event, thrown by New York entrepreneur Michael Dorf, founder of City Winery, has raised over $700,000 for music programs like the Church Street School of Music, Young Audiences New York, Music Unites and the Pinwheel Project.
