Kem Owens has had a highly successful ten-year music career with only three albums under his belt. His story is truly a “rags to riches” opus, finding the faith to conquer homelessness and substance addiction in order to rise to the top of the music game. And he doesn’t plan on stopping. Kem is getting romantic for a Christmas album and getting his acting bug fix with a small role in the upcoming film remake “Sparkle.”
“What Christmas Means” is the title of the holiday album, and the Detroit-native says it will go down in history as a classic. Expect original compositions along with covers of Christmas classics, but with a different spin on them. “Christmas is about Jesus, that’s the foundational aspect, but we all love getting presents, too,” he tells The Huffington Post in a recent interview. “There’s a romantic side to Christmas, whether it’s covered up near the fireplace with your significant other or sharing those intimate moments with the person that you love.” Read more>>
