Black, the sign of distress, is draped on The Endangered lead vocalist Maiya Sykes. What starts off as a somber guitar strum, builds with warm strength of drums, snare snaps and crisp bass propelling the energy from tears to hope. Sykes’ sweet tones blossom with the spirit of melody in a search for faith on “Calling On You.”
