Nick Ashford will truly be missed and I send prayers to his wife Valerie and family. May he rest in peace and may GOD watch over his family in these trying times. I loved the music Ashford & Simpson made. I actually saw Ashford walking on the walk way at Chene Park and I did not know what to say I froze..I wish I would have spoke..It was amazing and he look right at me & my mom did not believe it was him until she heard the announcement of Ashford & Simpson being in Detroit. Maybe one day I will have the honor of meeting Valerie Simpson..my heart goes out to you..your music will be around for years..it never go out of style..much love!

R.I.P. great man! He and Valerie are responsible for providing some of the best R&b music and memories from my parents generation. Happy, having myself grown up in the late 80s and 90s, to have appreciated him while he was alive (becoming exposed to their work through family & friends). with sincere regret, I offer his wife and musical collective my condolences. I am saddened like many other fans. Yet, his lifes work, lives on through Val. God bless him.
