Train Stop Tuesday: Classic Episode featuring Stevie Wonder

“The Sound of Philadelphia” is the official tune of the Soul Train series, but in this installment of Train Stop Tuesday, we get a sneak peek of Steve Wonder putting together his own musical homage. Live instrumental performances on during the Soul Train golden era were few and far between because it was cost-prohibitive. However, Stevie and his piano blessed the masses with his talent in this particular episode. Flocked by the Soul Train dancers and Don Cornelius, he sings, “Where all the brothers and sisters get together.”
The message was right on point, because bringing the brothers and sisters together is what Soul Train is all about.
